Created by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, this free app allows you to record bird calls and/or upload photos and can identify what you're hearing and seeing
Also created by the Cornell Lab, this free app lets you record and submit birds you've observed for citizen science. Collected data is used for conservation, species management, and informing law and policies. Desktop version available

Bird Clubs
I volunteer for the Denver chapter of the Feminist Bird Club. It's a great way to connect with other bird lovers and it's open to anyone. Denver Audubon also offers field trips
